INTRODUCTION

This year’s Arts Fair is just around the corner. Art donations are rolling in for the Silent and Main Auction to be held at 2:00 pm, and artists are busy finishing their pieces for the Art and Quilt Exhibitions. The totem poles are coming to life and our students have made their final touches to their masterpieces for the Kids Art Exhibition.

We are delighted to be joined by a number of artists who have generously donated works for auction including David Larwill, Jeff Martin, Christabel Wigley, Geoff Hook, Simone Millman, Monique Morey, Andrew Wilson, Michael Leeworthy, Sue Byrne, Klaas Kalma, Tony Lister, John Madsen, Callum Stone, Clive Miller and Jamie Jansen. A record number of artists will be involved this year – over 100 artists in fact, with a wide variety of works and some very impressive biographies!

The Arts Fair will feature an exciting range of activities for the whole family, including games on the oval, a trackless train, jumping castle, animal farm, sand pictures, kids painting and “fete” style stalls with a wide range of handcrafted and homemade items. A selection of gourmet foods will be served throughout the day, along with delicious cakes, coffee, tea, beer and fine local wines. Visitors will be entertained by a number of local bands and the kids will be delighted with the special treats and knick-knacks in this year’s show bags.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Our Arts Fair is just around the corner! The success of this day depends very much on the support we receive from the School community, particularly from parents and students. Please visit the School office to add your name to the volunteer helper list. We need lots of helping hands to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible. We need only an hour or two of your time, but if you are free to help out for longer, that would be great.

Activities range from helping out in the Art and Quilt Exhibitions, serving food and beverages, assisting with the children’s activities and games on the oval, as well as helping out with the grade stalls. We are looking forward to another fantastic and successful Arts Fair - your help would be greatly appreciated!

ARTISTS WORKSHOPS

Our Arts Fair wouldn’t be complete without the ever-popular Artists Workshops. We are excited to offer two workshops this year – a “caricature workshop” hosted by Geoff Hook, and a “pastels workshop” hosted by Monique Morey. We are privileged to be joined by these fantastic artists who will share their amazing skills and artistic techniques with workshop participants. Places are limited - early bookings are advisable.

Price: Adults $20, children $10 (per workshop). All equipment and art supplies provided.

Click here to download a copy of the flyer and booking form

Visitors are also encouraged to visit the quilt exhibition to view quilt making demonstrations by Nepean Quilters throughout the day.
